The Telit Cinterion FN990B40 is the next-generation 5G M.2 data card. It supports 5G sub-6 FDD and TDD in stand-alone (SA) and non-stand-alone (NSA) modes, with LTE and WCDMA fallback and GNSS support.
Based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon® X72 5G Modem-RF System and a 3GPP Release 17 chipset, it supports LTE and 5G NR dual connectivity (EN-DC), dynamic spectrum sharing and network slicing. On LTE it offers Cat 20 with carrier aggregation, including uplink carrier aggregation for uplink-heavy applications such as 4K/8K video streaming.
The industrial-grade M.2 (NGFF) form factor with PCIe Gen 3 and USB 3.1 Gen 2 suits enterprise routers and gateways, fixed wireless access, indoor and outdoor CPE, professional broadcasting, mobile computing and video surveillance. The FN990B34 belongs to the same family.
